WINCHESTER, N.H. – Sam Rameau is hoping some home-cooking will result in a championship this weekend at Monadnock Speedway. Rameau will drive the No. 06 Modified for Rameau Family Motorsports in the 125-lap championship race for the Whitcomb 5 Series on Saturday, September 17.
The goal for the night is simple – beat the other drivers in contention for the title on the track after 125 laps, and be crowned the 2022 Whitcomb 5 Series champion. In all of the Whitcomb 5 Series events this season, Rameau has been a contender. He won at Lee USA Speedway, dominating the night, and was also a major contender in the opener at Monadnock in May, finishing on the podium. This weekend, he’s ready to roll to chase the title. “I’m excited to get back to Monadnock, a place we have always shown a lot of speed no matter what car we have,” Rameau said. “It’s a track where I am comfortable and it fits right into my wheelhouse to have the Whitcomb 5 Series championship race there. I think we have a good shot at winning. Just have to make the right adjustments prior to the race and be in position to pounce when it matters in the final laps.” Saturday’s events at Monadnock will also include many local divisions. Per the Monadnock Speedway website, racing begins at 2 p.m. For more information on Rameau Family Motorsports, visit SammyRameau.com and follow the team on Facebook for the latest updates.
