WESTMINSTER, Mass. – After a long offseason, Sam Rameau and the Rameau Family Motorsports team will kick-off the 2023 season in a big way this weekend. The team will compete in double-duty at Monadnock Speedway, their home track, including both a NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and Crate Modified race under the NHSTRA Modified sanction.
Saturday includes the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Duel at the Dog 200. In two career Whelen Modified starts there, Rameau has finishes of eighth and fourth. He is no stranger to winning at Monadnock – though – scoring two victories with the Tri-Track Modified Series against stout competition in his career. Rameau is also looking forward to the NHSTRA Modified race on Sunday, one year after finishing on the podium at Monadnock in the division and also grabbing a win in the class at Lee USA Speedway. “It’s going to be a busy weekend for the entire team and we’re excited for it,” Rameau said. “It’s been quite the offseason getting everything ready but the guys in the shop have worked hard preparing two amazing cars for the high-banks of Monadnock. We should have a strong showing in both races. Our goals are to go out there and get two trophies.” Saturday’s race day includes the green flag for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour on FloRacing.TV at 5 p.m. Sunday, the green flag is scheduled to drop with heat racing at 1:45 p.m. For more information on Sam Rameau and Rameau Family Motorsports, visit SammyRameau.com and follow the team on Facebook for updates, including from the track.
